What Galdr is

2026’s new arrival: a black-metal-styled open-source synth with morphing wavetables and a granular Blizzard layer.

  • 12-voice engine with poly, mono and legato modes
  • Morphing wavetable mode: 32 frames, sine to 'grim' spectrum
  • 'Blizzard' granular snowstorm texture layer and FDN cavern reverb

Builds are currently unsigned; macOS may require a right-click Open on first launch.

How to install Galdr

Galdr runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It ships as VST3, AU and CLAP, plus a standalone version that needs no DAW. Logic Pro and GarageBand users need the AU build. If your DAW supports CLAP (Bitwig, Reaper, FL Studio), prefer that build. Download it from sognevo.com, run the installer or copy the plugin into your plugin folder, then rescan plugins in your DAW.
